I have spent most of my life admiring art and when I moved to the Keys I was provided the opportunity to create full time. Having lived in the North East and the Caribbean and traveling in Europe and South America, I have found that the uniqueness of an area is derived not only from the people and culture but also its reflection of architecture and natural resources. I enjoy exploring new areas through that viewpoint, not only in life, but through my work. I often use water to loosen up the paint along with many mark makers to create texture and pattern. The Florida Keys and Key West offer numerous subjects that allow me to explore my point of view. I love to experiment whether that means throwing paint, using unusual marks or mixing crazy colors. I love happy mistakes.
My work has been shown in Key West, Big Pine Key and Marathon. In 2015 I was the proud recipient of an Anne McKee Foundation’s grant and took first place in the Lower Keys Artist Network's judged show. In 2018 and 2019 my paintings were chosen to be used in the advertising of the Old Island Restoration Foundation's annual Home Tours. My work has also been chosen to be used in the Culture Magazine and Gallery Guide produced by the Florida Keys Council of the Arts. I am a member of the Lower Keys Artist Network as well as The Studios of Key West and has her work on permanent display in the Artists in Paradise Gallery in Big Pine Key and Shady Palms Gallery in Marathon as well as Guild Hall Gallery and the Key West Art Center in Key West.
