Sherri Crilly

I am a watercolor artist whose work is deeply influenced by a life spent by the water. Growing up and raising a family at the Jersey Shore, I developed a profound connection to the ocean—boating, surfing, fishing, and embracing the coastal lifestyle.

Before moving to Big Pine Key in 2014 I, along with my husband, a police officer, owned a health club, fostering a passion for wellness and community. As we settled into retirement here on the island, I started attending art classes, in person and online, and discovered hidden talents I was unaware I possessed.

Living in the Florida Keys I also developed a passion for snorkeling and marine life. As a volunteer for the FWC, I actively participate in sea turtle nesting, rescue and strandings efforts, deepening my connection to the ocean’s ecosystem and magnificent marine life. I find watercolor painting to be deeply therapeutic. The fluidity of water and paint mirrors the ebb and flow of the tides, allowing each piece to capture the beauty and movement of the underwater world. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I do creating them.
