Although Brad Gruss earned a BFA in art design, he is new to the world of sculpture. His career as a technician in the metal industry and author of technical guides has lead to an outbreak of creative energy in his retirement years. Brad layers the local hardwoods of the Keys, giving definition and character to his aquatic menagerie. As an avid hunter, fisherman, boater and wild game chef, he knows his creations inside and out. Whether leaving his specimen to be defined by the wood grain itself or painting the rainbow of colors of the dolphin or sailfish, Brad’s schools of fish are telling of an angler’s world.
