Steve Bickis 

The people, 19th Century architecture, and luminous waters of Key West have inspired Steve’s work ever since he first arrived as a young sign painter in 1979. His three sons were born here.
Today he lives and creates fine art at the Suzie dePoo artists compound on Dey Street. His technical skill and ability to capture the island’s unique tropical light and shadow, its lively waterfront, and its playful vibe have made his paintings popular with local collectors and visitors.
In 2023 his work was exhibited at the Studios of Key West. Steve spends his summers in Madison Indiana, where he designed and painted the iconic " Kindness mural for the Madison Area Art Alliance.
Steve’s distinctive artwork can be seen at Key West Collective and Shady Palm Art Gallery. He specializes in painting portraits, pets, houses and street scenes and is available for commissions.
